Spotlight on

The Style Collective

To celebrate the launch of our new contemporary designer hub, we hooked up with three of our favourite bloggers for a fun-filled shoot.

At navabi, we’re always working on bringing you the most exciting fashion, from buzzed about labels to our exclusive Influencer Collections. Recently, our buyers have been focusing on expanding our trend-led offer and we’re really thrilled that brands are stepping up. Last season we welcomed Lost Ink and Levi’s to our portfolio and this autumn Yumi has been added to the collection alongside Junarose, Jette, Mat, Miss Y by Yoek and our very own Manon Baptiste. What’s more, we’ve made it easier to scout them out by putting them all in one place in our shop. That place is ‘The Style Collective.’ To celebrate the launch of The Style Collective, we invited three of our most-loved bloggers to showcase some of our (and their) favourite pieces.

While on the shoot we grabbed each blogger for a 5 minute chat to get the lowdown on everything from their go-to outfit to their all-important styling tips. First up, the gorgeous Becky of Becky Barnes blog.

Blue-eyed babe Becky was high on our must-have list for this shoot because of her totally versatile style, her cool hair and makeup looks and laid-back attitude. We knew we could mix in some flirty dresses with her androgynous dress sense, and we think you’ll agree that the results justify our excitement.

How would you describe your style?

Eclectic, comfortable, easy to wear.

What is your go-to outfit and what would you never wear?

My go-to outfit is a jumpsuit, I just find them so wearable, especially when I’m running around after my little girl. I have so many now it’s getting a bit ridiculous. Nowadays I’d probably never wear anything Fifties vintage style, big swing dresses and full skirts just completely turn me off. I like clean lines and wearability.

Any secret styling tips or general advice to share?

Don’t be afraid to try something new. If it doesn’t work for you, that’s okay, but you might just find your new favourite style.

What was your favourite piece you wore on the shoot and why? Did anything surprise you?

I loved the Junarose leopard print dress with drop hem (above, top left). I love leopard print but I’m not usually a fan of a drop hem, so it really did surprise me. I loved the mesh fabric too. A complete revelation.

What was your favourite piece on your fellow bloggers?

I LOVED the blue Manon Baptiste trouser suits on both Chloe and Em. I have to admit, being a trouser kind of girl, I was a bit jealous, however it was a nice change to wear some dresses for the shoot. But honestly, those girls just rocked the suits. Complete babes.
