Behind the Scenes

Our wedding guest looks… in paper

Wondering why these cute paper dolls are our new BFFs? We thought it was a fun way to show you our favourite wedding dress looks of the season…

The art of paper

Italian Artist Paola Rossa (also known as lepaolette) is an illustrator specialising in the art of papercuts with the highest-quality paper, known for her bright and fun designs. While she is best known for her portraits of Anna Wintour, Audrey Hepburn, Iris Apfel and other style icons, she also loves creating individually-dressed paper dolls displaying an array of clothing. The result is hand-crafted, super-realistic renderings of real designs.

The illustrator designed four cute little paper dolls for navabi to showcase our wedding guest styles, which are all available right now.

In the Making …

Look #1: The Cherry On The Cake

British label Gina Bacconi is known for its high-quality eveningwear designs. This sweet, petal-pink dress will keep you looking gorgeous from ceremony to party.

Look #2: Flowergirl

You won’t be a wallflower in this colourful combination: the high-waisted floral skirt by Lost Ink will emphasise your waist, while the green blouse by Elvi is blessed with a cute bow to give it an extra something. The sequinned flowers on the Mascara clutch will rival the bridal bouquet.

Look #3: Lemon Sorbet

Not much of a dress woman? How about a sleek jacquard suit. The sleeve detail gives it a feminine edge and the sweet floral pattern on jacquard makes it utterly wedding-ready.

Look #4: Kimono-cool

The kimono-inspired jacket from Lost Ink will give your wedding outfit the edge, covered in beautiful embroidery with elegantly wide sleeves. And don’t forget your Mascara clutch- perfect to stash tissues in for the emotional speeches.
